and Design of Your Yurt
Choosing a yurt is mainly a matter of size, cover type, insulation, doors, windows, and whether you want one of our Glass Wall yurts. This page brings the main choices together so you can get a clear idea of what you want before asking us for an estimate.
Once you know the size and options you are interested in, get in touch and we’ll prepare a bespoke estimate for your yurt.
We sometimes have yurts available sooner than our usual lead time, either currently in the workshop or available from stock.

Step 1: Choose Your Yurt Size
Size is usually the first decision. Think about how you want to use the yurt, how many people it needs to hold, and how much internal space you want. We make a wide range of sizes, from smaller garden yurts to larger yurts for guest accommodation, living spaces and retreats.

Step 2: Choose Your Yurt Cover
Canvas Covers
Our canvas-only yurts use strong proofed polycotton covers, chosen for durability, weather protection, breathability and appearance. Each cover is cut and sewn to fit the yurt properly.
Canvas colour options are available, so you can choose a yurt cover that suits the setting and the intended use of the yurt.
Insulated Yurt Covers
For regular use, cooler climates or greater comfort through the year, our insulated yurts include natural wool felt insulation, a fire-retardant inner liner and an additional roof cover.
Insulated yurts are well suited to guest accommodation, retreats, studios and year-round use.
Step 3: Choose Doors and Windows
We make solid wooden doors, glazed doors, fixed windows and opening windows designed specifically for our yurts.
The arrangement depends on how much light, ventilation, privacy and access you want, together with the size and wall height of the yurt.
We can help you choose a practical combination for guest accommodation, studios, retreats, garden rooms or living spaces.
Step 4: Choose a Glass Wall Yurt
Our Glass Wall yurts combine fitted wooden doors, windows and wall panels to bring more light, wider views and a stronger connection with the surrounding landscape.
They are especially popular for guest accommodation, yoga spaces, studios, garden rooms and yurts used as living spaces.
A Glass Wall yurt gives the structure a more open architectural feel while keeping the warmth and character of a yurt.
Step 5: Choose Canvas Colours
Our canvas is available in a range of colours, so you can choose the look that best suits the setting. Different colours can also be used for the walls, roof, edging and crown cover.
Natural shades sit quietly within the landscape, while stronger colours can be used where you want the yurt to have a more distinctive appearance.
How to Order Your Yurt
Once we have agreed the size and specification, we will send you a detailed estimate showing what is included, the payment schedule and the expected completion time.
A 50% deposit confirms the order and secures the yurt in our workshop schedule. We will then send confirmation of your order and keep you informed as the work progresses.
The remaining balance is due one week before dispatch.
When the yurt is complete, we can arrange delivery to your address or organise collection from our workshop.
