An 18 foot yurt is a generous and comfortable size. Inside, it feels open and roomy, with enough space for proper furniture, a bed, storage and a relaxed living area.
It is a good choice when you want more than a simple camping or guest yurt. It works well for living, guest accommodation, retreat spaces, studios, therapy rooms, garden rooms and more spacious seasonal use.
An 18 foot yurt can be made as a canvas-only yurt or as an insulated yurt, depending on how you plan to use it. The size is fixed, but the specification can be chosen around your needs.
Like our other yurts, it is made with a natural chestnut frame, a handcrafted solid oak crown and carefully fitted covers. It is large enough to feel like a proper room while retaining the warmth and atmosphere of a circular space.

What Is an 18 Foot Yurt Good For?
An 18 foot yurt is useful where you want a genuinely spacious yurt without moving into the largest sizes. It gives enough room for longer stays, more comfortable guest accommodation and a fuller living arrangement.
It can work well as a small home, holiday yurt, retreat room, studio, massage room, therapy room, meditation space, garden room or family living yurt.
For use through more of the year, it can be made as an insulated yurt with natural wool felt insulation, a fire-retardant inner liner and our double-canvas roof system.
A Proper Living Size
The 18 foot yurt has around 24 square metres of floor space. That gives room for a bed, furniture, seating, storage and, in some layouts, a small kitchen area.
With an insulated specification, a properly built platform, a suitable door and the right stove, this size can become a warm, secure and comfortable living space.

The 18 foot yurt is approximately 548 cm in diameter, with around 24 square metres of floor space.
It can seat approximately twenty-two people and sleep up to six people in simple use.
The total height is approximately 290 cm, with a wall height of around 155 cm.
