A 22 foot yurt gives around 36 square metres of floor space. It suits customers who need a substantial room rather than a compact sleeping yurt or occasional shelter.
This size works well for living, retreats, yoga, therapy, studio use, teaching, guest accommodation and small group work.
A 22 foot yurt can be made as a canvas-only yurt or as an insulated yurt, depending on how it will be used.
Like our other yurts, it is made with a natural chestnut frame, a handcrafted solid oak crown and carefully fitted covers.

What Is a 22 Foot Yurt Good For?
The floor area gives enough room for beds, seating, storage and clear open space, so one yurt can serve several functions without feeling cramped.
Common uses include larger guest accommodation, retreat work, therapy spaces, yoga classes, creative studios and small teaching rooms.
For use through more of the year, it can be made as an insulated yurt with natural wool felt insulation, a fire-retardant inner liner and our double-canvas roof system.
A Proper Room Inside
At 22 feet, the yurt feels less like a single-purpose shelter and more like a complete room.
There is enough space to arrange the interior naturally, with separate areas for sleeping, sitting, storage or open floor use.
This makes the size useful where the yurt needs to feel settled and practical for regular use rather than simply providing space for one bed or one activity.

It can seat approximately fifty people and sleep up to eight people in simple use.
