A 20 foot yurt is one of our larger sizes. It gives a broad, open interior with enough room for generous living, guest accommodation, group use or retreat work.
It is a good choice when you want a yurt that feels like a substantial room. It can hold proper furniture, beds, seating and storage while still leaving a clear central area.
A 20 foot yurt can be made as a canvas-only yurt or as an insulated yurt, depending on how you plan to use it. The size is fixed, but the specification can be chosen around your needs.
Like our other yurts, it is made with a natural chestnut frame, a handcrafted solid oak crown and carefully fitted covers. It is a large, practical and beautiful space for customers who need room to live, work or gather properly inside the yurt.

What Is a 20 Foot Yurt Good For?
A 20 foot yurt is useful where you need a larger, more flexible space. It works well for longer-term living, guest accommodation, retreat rooms, yoga, group work, therapy spaces, studios, classrooms and spacious garden buildings.
It gives more floor area than the 16 and 18 foot yurts, so there is more room for furniture and greater freedom in how the interior is arranged.
For use through more of the year, it can be made as an insulated yurt with natural wool felt insulation, a fire-retardant inner liner and our double-canvas roof system.
A Large Living or Retreat Size
The 20 foot yurt has around 29 square metres of floor space. That makes it a strong option where the yurt will be used regularly rather than simply as an occasional guest room.
It is large enough for comfortable living, retreat accommodation or small group work, while retaining the warmth and atmosphere of a circular yurt.

The 20 foot yurt is approximately 610 cm in diameter, with around 29 square metres of floor space.
It can seat approximately thirty-eight people and sleep up to seven people in simple use.
The total height is approximately 296 cm, with a wall height of around 155 cm.
