The 15 foot yurt is one of our most useful middle sizes. It is still compact enough to feel simple and manageable, but large enough to work as a proper room.
It can be used as guest accommodation, a garden room, small studio, retreat space, children’s room or comfortable seasonal accommodation.
Like our other sizes, a 15 foot yurt can be made as a canvas-only yurt or as an insulated yurt, depending on how you plan to use it.
Every 15 foot yurt is made with a natural chestnut frame, a handcrafted solid oak crown and carefully fitted covers.

15 Foot Yurt Size
A 15 foot yurt has a diameter of approximately 457 cm and a floor area of around 16.5 square metres.
It gives enough room for a bed, storage, seating and simple furniture, while still being relatively straightforward to place on a platform or within a garden.
For short stays it can sleep four to five people. For longer use, or where more furniture and comfort are wanted, it is generally better suited to one or two people.
What Is a 15 Foot Yurt Good For?
A 15 foot yurt works well where you need a useful amount of space without moving into one of the larger yurt sizes.
It is suitable for guest accommodation, treatment rooms, studios, garden rooms, therapy spaces, retreat use, family camping and seasonal living.
The extra height and floor area make it feel noticeably more spacious than the smaller yurts, while it remains relatively easy to heat, furnish and maintain.
Canvas-Only or Insulated
A 15 foot yurt can be supplied as a canvas-only yurt for seasonal or lighter use.
For greater comfort through more of the year, it can be made as an insulated yurt with natural wool felt insulation, a fire-retardant inner liner and our double-canvas roof system.
Doors, fixed windows, opening windows and Glass Wall sections can also be added according to the intended use of the yurt.

The 15 foot yurt is approximately 457 cm in diameter, with around 16.5 square metres of floor space.
It can seat approximately sixteen people and sleep up to five people in simple use.
The total height is approximately 275 cm, with a wall height of around 155 cm.
