A 14 foot yurt is one of our most popular smaller yurt sizes. It is still compact and manageable, but it gives enough space to feel like a proper room rather than simply a small shelter.
A 14 foot yurt can be made as a canvas-only yurt or as an insulated yurt, depending on how you plan to use it. The size is fixed, but the specification can be chosen around your needs.
It is a good choice for guest accommodation, garden rooms, family camping, retreat use, therapy rooms, small studios, children’s spaces or simple seasonal living.
Like our larger yurts, it is made with a natural chestnut frame, a handcrafted solid oak crown and carefully fitted covers. It is small enough to remain practical, but large enough to be genuinely useful.

What Is a 14 Foot Yurt Good For?
A 14 foot yurt is useful where you want a compact yurt with enough space for proper daily use. It works well as a spare room, small guest space, garden room, therapy room, massage room, meditation room, small classroom, studio or family camping yurt.
For use through more of the year, it can also be made as an insulated yurt, with natural wool felt insulation, an inner liner and our double-canvas roof system.
This is often the size people choose when they want something more spacious than a 10 or 12 foot yurt, but do not yet need one of the larger retreat or living sizes.
A Practical Family Size
The 14 foot yurt has around 14 square metres of floor space. It can sleep a small family in simple use, or give one or two people a comfortable amount of room for longer stays.
It is still reasonably easy to transport and pitch, but the extra diameter gives a noticeably more open feeling inside.

14 Foot Yurt Dimensions
The 14 foot yurt is approximately 426 cm in diameter, with around 14 square metres of floor space. It can seat approximately fifteen people and sleep up to four people in simple use.
The total height is approximately 244 cm, with a wall height of around 130 cm.
